- To maintain the longevity and appearance of your timber furniture, regular care is essential. Timber is a natural material that will deteriorate over time if not properly maintained.
- Treat Annually – Apply a suitable timber treatment or oil at least once a year to protect against weathering and prolong its lifespan.
- Cleaning – Wipe with a damp cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid harsh chemicals or pressure washing, as these can damage the wood.
- Storage – During harsh weather, store indoors or use a breathable furniture cover to reduce exposure to moisture and UV rays.
- Natural Aging – Over time, timber may develop cracks or change color due to exposure. This is a normal process but can be minimized with regular care.
- By following these steps, you can keep your timber furniture looking its best for years to come.
