How to Make Watering Can Lights

You’ll need:

– Watering can (ideally with a removeable head/rose). We have a wide range of perfect options in store!

Strands of fairy lights. We stock outdoor fairy lights all year round!

Screwdriver/large drill bits or a hammer to punch holes

Plant bracket/Hanger

Step 1 – Remove the rose (the end of the watering can spout) and put to one side – Put battery powered fairy lights inside the can and run the strings out through the end of the spout.

Step 2 – Using a screw driver (or your tool of choice), make the holes bigger on the rose (the shower head of the watering can). Make sure the holes are large enough for the lights to fit through.

Step 3 – One by one, feed the strings of fairy lights through the holes. You might have to loop them up and back out again depending on the length of your light strings. Gently place the rose back on the watering can.

Step 4 – Hang the watering can from a high hook/hanger, and position it over your plants to make the lights look like they are ‘pouring’ over them. Turn on the lights and enjoy!
