Is there anything more ‘garden goals’ than a back garden bar?! Lockdown has sent the DIY outdoor bar trend through the roof, so here’s some top tips to make your ‘local’ as local as can be and by creating your very own pub in your garden or garage!
The Most Important Bit: The Bar Itself
The actual bar structure is what will turn a few drinks in the garden into a bonafide boozer. There are plenty of ways you can build a bar but two popular methods are to use sleepers, fence panels or pallets, with the latter being the easiest option for DIY beginners.
Add Some Furniture
Having furniture to sit back and relax on with a glass wine is ideal, but you can also give a realistic feel to your personal pub with bar stools and bar tables (also available as a set). Or if you’re not all DIY’ed out after making your bar you could make your own pub table from sleepers!
Get Personal
Personalising your bar will make it feel extra special, and the place to start is with a name! The possibilities are endless so have some fun with it and the incorporate it into your bar with things like signs, bar mats and even menus! One of the favourites we’ve seen while trawling Pinterest for inspo is ‘The Staying Inn’!
Add Some Finishing Touches
Finishing touches and barware essentials can go a long way in transforming the overall look of your garden bar to something truly unique! Neon signs, beer flags, bunting and anything else you fancy can make your garden bar extra special!
